Having resources for dessert options that don’t have sugar and are low carb can be very helpful for many reasons. Most importantly, they don’t spike blood sugar levels when we eat them, which can affect our health by lowering the immune system, and we need to have a strong one in these crazy times.

The CDC says there are five underlying medical conditions that increase the risk for severe COVID-19-associated illness, and two of them are blood sugar issues and obesity. Making sure that what you are eating is not contributing to that is critical in your body’s ability to fight off preventing getting it or having the best chance to not have complications if you do.
This just reiterates how important it is for us to take care of our health as much as possible, which includes what we are eating that impacts our immune system. The three biggest holiday months are here and that is when people usually tend to eat more sugar and tend to get sick.
