By Steve and Jeanne Wolfe from White Dove Farm
The North Tampa Garden Club came here to White Dove Farm this past Tuesday, October 17, 2018 for a garden tour and fellowship lunch. They changed their name officially to the Senior Fun Club. And we did have fun! They meet on Seneca Street Rec. Center in N. Tampa on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00am.
The event presented itself to a loving gathering, with four men to boot. Hey guys, get out and participate! You will enjoy life better. Steve blessed us with his guitar and sung an old song written in the early 70’s by a friend who had suffered much loss before conversion to follow Christ.
She was contemplating marriage without children since the doctors said she was unable to bear children because of her previous destructive lifestyle. After much prayer, God blessed her with children. She wrote this song and the music as a testimony. “I Could Have Lost My Life Forever, But…”
With our limited endurance, we were able to receive help from Elder Care, Inc., Helpers (Lisa, De Shawn, Tyler, and Lana Mayle) and we were able to get White Dove Farm and home back into reasonable shape for the tour. Much thanks!
With all the rain this summer, flowers and invasive plants turned into a jungle. We are getting ready to plant the winter garden vegetables, especially Oriental greens for stir fry. Also, I like broad leaf mustard greens served with a little vinegar and oil (very good with corn bread), the seeds of which can be gotten at Shell’s Feed store on N. Nebraska Ave. in Tampa.
Happy Gardening!
Love, Steve & Jeanne Wolfe
