Saturday, November 19th, the 13-14 year old Varsity Division of the Lutz Chiefs took on the Tampa Bay Jaguars in a hard-fought defensive game that ended in a 0-0 tie. The Chiefs won the game in overtime 12-6 to take home their first Tampa Bay Youth Football League Super Bowl! The Chiefs moved from PPAL to TBYFL in 2010 and have been in existence since 1978. The last time a Varsity Chiefs team won a Super Bowl was in 2006, so it’s been a long time since the Chiefs have been back to the big game. Head Coach Zack Kilburn and staff and the team took on the very competitive teams in TBYFL and won it all! Many of the boys in this division go on to play for teams throughout Hillsborough County, so it’s a big accomplishment
for this Chiefs team!
