The Benedictine Sisters of Florida in Saint Leo, Florida held their 5th Annual Angels in the Wings luncheon at Holy Name Monastery on Friday, November 11th. The luncheon is held to honor those who have remembered the Sisters and their work in their estate plan. With the generosity of friends and family, the Sisters are assured that their ministries will continue in the future.
In addition to honoring our Angels, we have a speaker to address the attendees about the importance of writing a will and the various ways donors can take care of their families first and foremost while also giving back to the community.
This year’s speaker was Tom Walker, President/CEO of Members Trust Company. Tim Baldwin, President of the San Antonio Federal Credit Union which belongs to the organization, introduced Mr. Walker.
“We received good feedback from many of our twenty-four attendees,” said Director of Mission Advancement Faith Pridmore, CFRE. “This is an educational service useful to our donors and guests. The IRS tax benefits of the appropriate plan can be significant. We are happy to work with advisors in helping donors make sound decisions in their life planning.”
