If God had not specifically chosen the mother that He did for me, and for you, we would not be the same people that we are today. I am so grateful that God chose the mother that He did for me. She has been such an example of joy and showing the love of Christ, even after growing up in the most unexplainable horrific things she went through in her life.
I always looked up to my mother and how amazed I was at how happy she was and joyful in all circumstances. Sometimes I didn’t understand how she was so happy when she’d gone through so much abuse in her own childhood, then in adulthood and then also going through losing my brother to a drunk driver when he was only 17. My brother was a hit and run and my mom went back to school, got her paralegal degree, and figured out how to find the man who killed my brother, 10 years later!
Seeing her tenacity and perseverance to never quit has helped build who I am today. I know that I would not be having the doors open that are happening right now if she had not been my mother. God’s plans are far beyond anything we can ever imagine when He plans these things in advance. He says He formed us in our mother’s womb! Psalm 139:13
She has also been such a huge support system for me these last 3 years after losing my husband and my local health and fitness business of 5 studios due to the pandemic. I have watched God recreate my life from the ground up and she has been right there along my side the entire way!
Her example of how to persevere through insurmountable difficulties and still find the silver lining in every cloud, always stopping to smell the flowers and having a smile on her face, really guided me on how to live this life. She showed me how to honor God and show love and care to everyone God brings into your life, even in the midst of your own pain. It’s been such an honor to be raised by this amazing woman, even though we had difficult times, mostly because I was very difficult to raise (lol) but thank God, it turned out good by His grace!
And now I have the absolute honor of witnessing her joy when she sees me walking in the ways that she has trained me up, like the Bible says. And as I’ve also persevered through some very challenging times, we are seeing that perseverance provide breakthrough in so many ways. One of those ways is I have a new book I just published as well as I have my own TV show and radio show that will be airing in May!
This is a huge platform to help inspire people to live the best life God has created them for and it will reach millions all over the world! I am so excited about this opportunity. And I want to thank my mother for helping me become the person I am today in being able to be happy and joyful and persevere through difficult times.
Many times, as we get older, we appreciate our parents even more knowing everything they sacrificed to raise us, especially if you’ve had your own children. You realize how truly difficult it is to raise a child up in the ways that they will go so they do not depart from them. I can say I have been raised up in many ways that I did not depart from because my mother helped me grow up and be an adult and instill the love of God in me.
I’m so grateful for this, “Thank you mom, I love you dearly. You are my favorite person in the world and you know it! I love spending time with you more then anyone and I am so grateful you are here to see the doors God is opening for me now after not quitting and always striving to see what God has next.”
