During the month of January 2024 Tax Collector Mike Fasano’s five offices featured The Runaways Animal Rescue, a Pasco-based no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing lost and runaway animals, address their medical needs, including spay and neuter procedures if required. A total of $7,906.75 was collected and presented to The Runaways Animal Rescue following the fundraising drive. These funds will be dedicated to caring for the pets and keeping them as long as needed until they are adopted into a “forever home.”
We are absolutely thrilled, and honored, to have been given this opportunity,” comments Founder & President Danielle Giroux. “The support of our community never ceases to amaze us, and it is the exact reason we can save so many lives and make a difference in Pasco County. Thank you again to Mike Fasano and everyone at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office for choosing our shelter to support. We appreciate everyone who donated and made this possible.”
“It was a blessing to feature The Runaways Animal Rescue as our January Charity-of-the-Month,” remarks Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “It is wonderful when newer organizations such as The Runaways Animal Rescue jump in to help serve a part of our community that at times is overwhelmed. I applaud Danielle Giroux and her volunteers for the dedication they have shown to the rescues under their care.”
