The Runaways Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization whose motto is “Big or Small We Save Them All.” The purpose of the program is to rescue lost and runaway animals, address their medical needs, including spay and neuter procedures if required. Once they are healthy and prepared for adoption, this no-kill shelter will keep animals for as long as needed. Over 3,000 animals have been rescued by The Runaways Animal Rescue since its founding in 2020.
“The welfare of stray animals has always been a big priority of our office,” comments Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “It is wonderful when newer organizations such as The Runaways Animal Rescue jump in to help serve a part of our community that at times is overwhelmed. I applaud Danielle Giroux and her volunteers for the dedication they have shown to the rescues under their care. Meeting their medical needs, keeping them well fed and cared for is the priority, all with the goal of adopting them out to good, caring families. Please consider donating during the month of January to help this fine organization succeed in its mission”.
