During the month of March Pasco Friends of Animal Services was the featured charitable giving organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. Pasco Friends of Animal Services is dedicated to enriching the lives of pets at the Pasco County Animal Shelter and improving the likelihood of adoption into loving homes. The primary focus of this campaign was to build up the medical fund which will help enhance the health, welfare and environment of sheltered animals. $11,724.19 was collected to help achieve that goal.
“We are humbled by the level of support the residents of Pasco County have continued to provide to help all of the unfortunate animals in care of Pasco County Animal Services,” commented Abby Cox, Chair of the non-profit’s Board of Directors. “The animals come in abandoned, lost, and scared. Due to the fine work of county staff, and the support of Friends of Animal Services, they are given a temporary home in the county’s no-kill shelter. On behalf of the voiceless animals, we thank you!”
“On behalf of our staff please accept our heartiest thanks for the generosity of our great community” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “The funds that were collected during the month of March will go a long way towards not only providing what could be lifesaving medical care for the shelter animals, it will be used to prepare the animals for potential adoption into a forever home.”
