Local Organization Recognizes their Volunteers, Partners & Sponsors for their Exemplary Support
St. Petersburg, FL (Tuesday, February 14, 2023)–Keep Pinellas Beautiful, (KPB) the local Keep America Beautiful Affiliate and nonprofit organization held its Annual Awards Recognition Luncheon at the Anona United Methodist Church on February 10th, 2023. Our presenting sponsor of this year’s Award Luncheon was Coca-Cola Beverages Florida. KPB honored its dedicated volunteers, partners, and sponsors for their efforts to keep Pinellas clean and beautiful.
In 2022, Keep Pinellas Beautiful worked with over 19,000 volunteers to beautify and clean up our home, Pinellas County. In total, they removed more than 220,000 pounds of trash from our communities, parks, and waterways. Coming together for a common purpose of community improvement has created new and long-lasting partnerships.
This Award and Recognition Ceremony provides an opportunity to all come together to celebrate one another’s accomplishments within our County. Each year, our volunteers and partners continue to expand into different demographics creating a close-knit environmental community. “I borrowed a tagline from my favorite hockey team, the Tampa Bay Lighting: Together We Can. The reason we can engage almost 20,000 volunteers within our communities to implement community improvement initiatives is through the development of relationships and partnerships,” said Pat DePlasco, KPB Executive Director.
Keep Pinellas Beautiful values, bringing people together to transform their public spaces into beautiful places. The impact of their actions champions environmentally healthy, economically sound, and socially connected communities. “The sense of community pride and the feelings of ownership created through our initiatives are difficult to measure individually, but can be noted by the results of the collective actions of our volunteers,” said KPB Executive Director. The awards ceremony celebrated the combined efforts of the organization’s volunteers, partners, and sponsors.
