A new division of the GFWC has formed!
GFWC Wesley Chapel Woman’s Club was established on February 5, 2020. We met at Glory Days restaurant in Wesley Chapel and from that point in we filed all our proper paperwork and became a club. We were sworn in with our board members and then started planning on up coming things we could do for the greater good. We have 14 members currently and are hoping to grow larger as soon as possible.
We are dedicated to giving back to the community through Service, fundraising, volunteering and any other acts of kindness. Since February through this COVID-19 pandemic we have already done a few things that were through porch pick up and drop off and some with small groups social distancing during quarantine.
We made stuffed bears that I call Cuddle bears. We currently delivered 50 to Artia Senior living facility with a hand written note of kindness.
We then took jars and painted with and decorated with silk flowers and a small note of kindness to Angels Senior Living at The Lodges. This was done to let the elderly know that are loved and thought of since they can’t see their families. We then delivered hand written Thank you cards to First responders and essential workers Thanking them for their bravery through this pandemic.
We sewed over 200 mask and donated them to health care workers. We donated 30 adult and 14 kids mask to Sunrise Domestic Violence shelter.
