Developing self-discipline and avoiding anything that would reduce a person’s mental growth or physical health are at the center of John Prevatt Martial Arts’ Student Creed. Students are taught to have a “Yes, I can” attitude, learning respect, manners, and self-defense while building a strong self-esteem and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Summer is right around the corner and now is the time to register for Karate Summer Camp. The camp is unlike the summer programs held at other karate studios. It is an all-encompassing program that includes self-defense classes, confidence building, learning teamwork and respect, and more.
“What makes our camp different is that we not only teach karate, but more importantly, unity and integrity. We are all the same people, regardless of our background, and need to treat each other with respect,”said Grand Master Zico Cheng.
Another outstanding feature included in their program is education and encouraging the use of common sense. Due to today’s growing use of technology, many children tend to neglect the importance of general manners such as respect, courtesy, basic life skills, and utilizing common sense. The coaching helps their students to stay focused and to reinforce what they have learned in school. The additional learning experience serves as a confidence-booster when they return to school in the fall.
Field trips are planned to the zoo, aquarium, movies, swimming, cooking, art studio, the annual horseback riding with the county sheriffs at Crystal Springs, and more.
Camp will be held June 3 – August 9, 2019, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
The studio is located at 1916 Oak Grove Boulevard, Lutz, FL 33559. For more information about the programs available, go to http://johnprevattmartialarts.com or call 813-948-4004 or you can reach them via email at johnprevattmartialarts@gmail.com.
