The Elks Lodge Tampa #708 hosted a fishing event at Ballast Point in Tampa for the Veterans at Liberty Manor. As usual, the Elks gifted all the veterans with their own rod and reels, fishing equipment, and lunch! A full list of Elks programs includes the Elks National Foundation’s Scholarship Program, the Elks Hoop Shoot highlights the Elks commitment to America’s youth through their annual free throw basketball contest, and the Elks National Memorial was built in 1926 to honor Americans veterans’ service.
Elks are committed to their mission, “So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them.“
The CIP Program invests in Elks communities through Lodge grants that help Elks meet local needs. The Elks have a Drug Awareness program. Explore decades of Elks history through the project’s magazine archives, photo gallery, document center, and more. Elks have a Soccer Shoot program, Junior Golf program, and the Elks offer an Americanism Essay Contest, and a Dictionary Project.
The junior membership has the Elks Antlers program, and the Elks celebrate youth achievement through Youth Recognition. Elks Mission Statement is to inculcate the principles of charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity, to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members, to quicken the spirit of American patriotism, to cultivate good fellowship, to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share. June 11th was no different. Our friends of the Elks Lodge continue to offer our veterans an opportunity to enjoy a day out when they otherwise could not afford such an event. The mission of Liberty Manor for Veterans; Inc. is to promote the developmental and social needs of disabled and honorably discharged veterans who have fallen victim to homelessness providing transitional; supported housing and establishing objectives designed to attribute to self-sufficiency.
