During the month of October, the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation will be the featured charitable giving organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation’s main objectives are to advocate on behalf of patients, educate the public on all aspects of breast cancer, and to provide funds for research seeking new treatments and ultimately a cure for breast cancer. For the sixth year in a row, the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office has teamed up with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation to raise funds and heighten awareness of this disease and the treatments options available.
“The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office has worked with the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation every year since 2014,” states Russell Silverman, the Interim President & CEO of the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. “Their combined efforts on behalf of our Foundation are nothing short of remarkable.
Individuals who have automobile registration renewals coming due in October may choose to trade in their regular license plate for the End Breast Cancer specialty tag. Customers may also purchase the tag for newly registered vehicles. The proceeds from the tag promotion will go directly to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation to help Floridians battling with this disease. Additionally, customers may choose to use the voluntary check-off box on their registration form and donate directly to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. The tax offices will also accept other cash donations on behalf of the Foundation.
