I want to thank all of the people that served this country and express compassion for the people have that lost loved ones during this process. I want to also thank my Dad for serving this country in Vietnam who as in the 101st Airborne Division that would skydive into the jungle in the middle of the night, I can’t even imagine the intensity of that!
I am grateful we got to celebrate Father’s day together for I appreciate that he has been such a great influence in my life. He is always happy, so positive and just happy to be alive. As a kid, he would make us listen to motivational tapes in the car when I was only 10! Back then we hated it and yes 33 years ago, we listened to tapes! When I look at who I am today, I see so much of my personality from my dad.
Even after almost dying in Vietnam, he came back and focused on what was positive about life. He knew he could either let that experience destroy him or become better from it. He never used circumstances as an excuse to not succeed. He started many businesses and I remember for the last 30 years, he always talked about his dream of owning a sailboat. He knew exactly how much money he needed to save to get this boat because he wanted to sail to the Bahamas a few times a year.
The amazing thing is he just retired last year at age 70 and got his dream boat! He and his wife sailed to the Bahama’s for 3 months and they just got back. We recently got to enjoy a boat ride to a small island and had lunch.
It was neat being on the boat, floating through the ocean on his dream made reality! It was so amazing watching dolphins in the water and seeing big puffy white clouds floating through the blue sky. It was such a beautiful day!
You might have read my last article about my dad and the conversation we had a few years back of how he was “turning into a marshmallow” because he wasn’t taking his health and fitness seriously (you can see the article on this paper’s website). He finally listened to his daughter and he got more serious and look at him now! I am so proud of him!
“Thank you, Dad, for being such a great example to me, for you have helped me become who I am today. The fighter it took in you to serve our country has rubbed off on me in my life too and now many communities and people are also being impacted!” So much so that we just opened our 4th location in Westchase!
By getting his dream boat, he taught me that if you want great things in life, we need to plan for them. You don’t just get them, many times they are earned. That also applies to a healthy and fit body! I can help you find that fight within you so you don’t turn into a marshmallow either. Learn how to age gracefully and live your life!
We have a seminar on hormones coming up too, see our ad in this paper. For a free Body Transformation Analysis, go here:
