NAMI Pasco (affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is offering its NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program to be presented beginning August 8, 2017. This free program will be held each Tuesday, 6:30pm to 9:00pm for 12 weeks at Medical Center of Trinity West Campus, 5637 Marine Parkway, New Port Richey. This comprehensive course for family, partners, friends and caregivers of someone with mental illness is offered at no charge. The curriculum is designed to help all family members understand and support their loved one living with mental illness while maintaining their own well-being.
The course includes information on illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and other mental conditions. Thousands of families describe the program as life-changing. The course is taught by trained teachers who are also family members and know what it is like to have a loved one living with mental illness.
