The Pasco County Chapter of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) offers two types of support group meetings each month, one for those living with mental illness and another for family and friends of those with mental illness.
This covers all brain disorders including, but not limited to, OCD, depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia, multiple personalities, etc. Information: 727-992-9653 or visit www.namipasco.org.
NAMI Connection Support Group
A structured closed group open only to those with a mental illness diagnosis. This group is for individuals 18 and older, interested in the recovery process, sharing coping skills and being with others who understand the daily challenges of living with a mental illness and is facilitated by trained peers.
1. Every Wednesday & Thursday, 7-8:30pm, WellCare Office, Southgate Shopping Center, 5113 US Hwy 19, New Port Richey.
2. The Second & Fourth Friday of each month at 2-3:30pm, Atonement Lutheran Church, 29617 State Road 54, Wesley Chapel.
3. Second & Fourth Thursday of each month 7-8:30pm, Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Shoreline Café Meeting Room, 14000 Fivay Rd, Hudson.
NAMI Family Support Group
For family members and caregivers of someone with a mental illness diagnosis.
1. Medical Center of Trinity “West Campus”, 5637 Marine Parkway, New Port Richey, 6:30-8pm, 2nd & 4th Mondays.
2. Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Shoreline Café Meeting Room, 14000 Fivay Rd, Hudson: First and Third Thursday of each month, 6:30-8pm.
3. Atonement Lutheran Church, 29617 State Road 54, Wesley Chapel, 33543: First and Third Tuesday of each month, 7-8:30pm.
