During the month of September, the Meals on Wheels of Pasco program to feed the elderly and homebound will be the featured charitable giving organization at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. Meals on Wheels of Pasco has spent the past fifty years delivering meals to those in need as well as operating as a foodbank for smaller food pantries to receive food from.
“As our community and country face uncertain times, access to nutritious food, and those with food insecurities are at an all-time high,” remarks Beth Aker, CEO of Meals on Wheels of Pasco. “Your donation will change the lives of family, neighbors, and friends. Thank you for being a part of the Meals on Wheels mission. ”
“All proceeds from this fundraising effort will go towards reducing food insecurity in Pasco County, especially among seniors and other vulnerable people,” comments Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “The health and wellness of the elderly in our community has always been a big priority of this office. I ask that anyone who visits any of our offices or transacts business online with us consider donating to Meals on Wheels of Pasco.”
For those who would like to give online, the tax collector’s office’s charitable giving arm Pasco TC Gives has a webpage through which donations for Meals on Wheels of Pasco (Charity of the Month) can be made:
