Have you ever wondered why you are here floating around on this giant rock? Is it just to work and make money to survive and to have nice things? There has to be more, right?
I can tell you the answer is yes, there is so much more. It’s even better than you can imagine. You were made for so much more! God, the creator of heaven and earth, made you, crafted you, designed, and created YOU to be made in His exact image. Not something like Him, not something that resembles Him, but made in His image. If fact, it says that you are His mirror image. Which means when you look in the mirror you can see Jesus. Now before you write this off as heresy, let me explain.
In Psalm 8:4-6, it says, “What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority.”
As you make Him Lord of your life; God then gives you His power and authority to rule on this earth. Causing His will to be done here on earth as it is done in heaven. His will is not automatically done as some think. Yes, He is God, but not God of this world. He wants you to rule and reign with Him. He has put sickness, disease, poverty, depression, anxiety, lack, and fear under your feet.
In Colossians 1:18a, it says, “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.”
If you make Him Lord of your life, you become His body, which means all those things that are against you, are now under your feet. You no longer have to bow to them. You bow to them by giving them place to continue to operate in your life.
Choose to believe today that all that Jesus paid for on the cross, which is freedom, forgiveness, righteousness, and healing is yours now. You don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to enjoy these things. You can walk in these things here on earth. That is why Jesus crowned you with glory and honor and put all things under your authority.
