Liberty Manor for Veterans sustained a horrific setback a few weeks ago when someone stole the cargo trailer used to pick up food for the veterans. This was indeed a tragedy that Liberty Manor could not recoup financially, at least anytime in the near future, it took one phone call to our friends at the “Coming Home Foundation” to respond by replacing our cargo trailer with a NEW 2022 black cargo trailer! This makes it possible for us to deliver food to our veterans again. The Coming Home Foundation is responsible for providing many resources that our veterans were previously lacking such as food, clothing and transportation.
Coming Home Foundation believes that everyone needs a day of happiness to remember, especially the American heroes that fought for our country and that are now lonely and stuck in medical centers. Their mission is to supply therapeutic arts and craft kits to veterans in medical centers. The arts and craft kits they distribute are physically therapeutic for hand to eye coordination, but more importantly, working on the kits lifts the spirits of our American heroes.
It gives them something to look forward to as well as a sense of accomplishment for completing a task. Perhaps most importantly, receiving a gift lifts their spirits and reminds them that they are not forgotten, especially for those that have outlived their friends and families. By giving them arts and craft kits, we will not be helping them to pass time, but we will be helping them make time live. The team consists of Russell Mason, Russ Mason, Jr, and Robert Singer – all perform amazing philanthropy for our United States veterans.
