Calling artists of all kinds! Entries are now being accepted for the Talent Showcase and Art Exhibit at the 2nd annual Charity Festival of Arts benefitting Gulfside Hospice on April 23 at Land O’ Lakes Heritage Park.
The event’s art exhibit is open to artists of all ages in the community, and all mediums are welcome, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, collages, photography, and more. Art Exhibit categories will be divided by age groups, and there will be a “Most Popular” winner in each category, determined by donation-based votes from the community. To enter, an entry form and photos of the artwork must be submitted by Friday, April 15. Artists may submit up to three pieces for the Art Exhibit for $5 each. Artists submitting artwork will receive free event admission, and must check in their piece(s) on the day of the event by 9:00am. The Talent Showcase portion of the event is open to a limited number of performers from the community, such as dance groups, individual performers, singers, comedians and more. Audition videos along with a Talent Showcase Application must be submitted by Friday, April 15 for consideration. Chosen groups and performers will be given up to 15 minutes to showcase their talents and abilities on stage for the community. In addition to the Talent Showcase and Art Exhibit, the fundraiser will also feature activity stations for kids, arts and craft vendors, food trucks, and more. Parking is free, and admission is $5 per person ages 3 and up. All event proceeds will benefit Gulfside Hospice and support patients and families in need.
