Families and friends had a wonderful time at River of Life Church’s Jesus’ BBQ Bash! There was something for everyone, both young and old, single, and married. Folks enjoyed a good old fashioned square dance, with Pastor Dan Coflin calling out the moves. A friendly cornhole tournament was the perfect entertainment for both spectator and participant to enjoy the beautiful weather. Arts and crafts booths were setup for those who wanted to do more Christmas shopping.
Delicious food was served. Freshly grilled burgers and pulled pork sandwiches with a selection of barbecue sauces satisfied even the biggest of appetites. And of course, the chili cookoff!
Taste testers enjoyed the variety of recipes in each participant’s crock pots. From mild to sweet and spicy, as well as unique ingredients including buffalo sauce, there was something for everyone to enjoy. This year’s winners of the chili cookoff were Kaeli Peterson and Kaci State’s. The day finished with a $500 gift card drawing for one lucky winner!
