Sponsored by Hillsborough County Cultural Assets Committee
Liberty Manor for Veterans was the benefactor of a grant sponsored by the Hillsborough County Cultural Assets Commission. The event was held on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021 that brought many individuals throughout the community to experience and watch a canoe race between many veterans from Liberty Manor and various corporations.
There were many corporate competitors that participated in the event such as Nautical Marine, Assurant, Dean Sims, Elks Lodge of Tampa, Camden Apartments, Devoted Health, Shogun Farms, Lightning Bay Pneu Draulics, Lake Gem Farm, Forest Hills Presbyterian, EM Key Solutions, and an appearance by Florida House Representative Keith Truenow. Keith and Kelly Adams served as start and finish masters. First Place Winners: Sho Gun Farms; Second Place: Sertoma Breakfast Club/Camden Apartments and Third Place: Dean Sims.
Liberty Manor Army veteran John Dennis France was recognized and awarded a Challenge Coin from Liberty Manor. Mr. France is from St Louis. He trained at Ft. Brag, served in the heart of Vietnam, re-enlisted, and earned a silver star and a purple heart! France and his support dog both served as crew members in the canoe race.
The event was intended to be all about canoes and veterans, but all we kept hearing was how great the food was at the All Good food truck. All Good is a family-owned and operated business located in our beautiful city of St. Petersburg, Florida. Their mission is to bring people delicious, healthy, and fresh food in an environmentally-sustainable manner.
The menu is always gluten-free and vegan-friendly, any dish can easily be made vegan at no additional cost, and all of their produce is fresh and local when possible. The dressings are made in-house, and they only use organic, non-GMO tofu. Chicken is sourced from humanely-raised farms where the chickens graze 24/7/365 and only consume.
If you click on the “Our Schedule” link on the home page of All Good, you will see where they will be in the coming weeks! You can also follow them on social media as well for random pop-ups and last-minute bookings! They are available for events & catering, whether it be a private party, wellness event, office park, or any other get together where good food is appreciated.
Contact them at (727) 492-8617 to book them at your next event! They serve food that is as good for you as it is for the environment.
