Teams have already started fundraising, using the upcoming holidays as a chance to ask friends and family for donations in lieu of traditional gifts. Since 2007, families and friends have come together to walk or run in memory or honor of their loved ones and raise funds to support Gulfside Hospice. The 2019 Hospice Legacy Stroll will continue this tradition on Saturday, February 2.
Teams can start registering and building their own shareable fundraising website at www.HospiceLegacyStroll.org. The memorial walk is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 am at Sims Park in New Port Richey. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for students. Register by Jan. 15 to receive a free event t-shirt.
The fundraiser will feature a remembrance ceremony, followed by a memorial walk through the scenic park with activity stations and vendors along the way. Special awards will be given to the top fundraising teams.
