Samantha Taylor became interested in a healthier lifestyle over twenty-six years ago. She met her husband when she was just 17 years old, and he brought her to a gym for the first time.
“My husband started dragging me to the gym, because I had never worked out before. He was my first and only personal trainer,” said Samantha.
That was the beginning of a new journey. After getting her certification as a personal trainer, she began her career by offering personal training. There was such a need for people to change to a healthier lifestyle, and the company quickly grew for it was apparent that women wanted a more personal approach and felt more comfortable at a ladies-only studio.
Samantha left a large corporate gym 15 years ago to open her first fitness studio. Then 4 years ago in Land O’ Lakes, she found a commercial building on a beautiful lake. As they work out, members are surrounded by nature’s beauty, including a family of Sandhill cranes.
Now her other locations include Wesley Chapel, Carrollwood, and Westchase, with a fifth studio opening in Palm Harbor in mid-July.
“We are also excited to announce our new Wesley Chapel location. We just built our own building, a project we have been working on for 2 years and have moved in!”
Since opening the first studio, over 6,000 women have come through the doors and transformed their lives through exercise, nutrition, and new friendships. Friendships are formed through group workouts and planned social events including cooking classes, paddle board, kayaking, and bowling.
Members can choose from personal training, which offers a more private, customized training (either one-on-one, semi-private or small group) or participate in a fitness boot camp led by personal trainers. The boot camp offers a faster paced, more intense large group workout. Beginner workouts are also available.
Fitness is not only about working out. What you eat is another essential component to a healthier lifestyle. Samantha Taylor Fitness offers simple and delicious eating plans with recipes to make in your own kitchen.
Also, affordable food plans can be ordered and delivered straight to your home. Nutrition seminars, which are free and open to the public, are offered monthly. The next Nutrition Seminar is July 20.
Four years ago, Samantha had given up sugar for her 40th birthday. It wasn’t easy, but she quickly became aware of the benefits. She got very serious about her food and lived with integrity. After eliminating sugar from her diet, within a few weeks, her mental clarity and focus increased. She is practicing what she preaches.
“We show people how to eat healthy and not be on restrictive diets. I used to be a former food junkie and used to struggle with food myself, so I know what my clients are going through.”
Samantha Taylor Fitness believes in giving back to the community. Each month, they partner with a different charity. Recently, they donated dog food to seeing-eye dogs and raised funds for autism awareness. This month, members donated to “Bricks for Schools”, which collects bricks for building schools.
