Keep your fur baby’s paw pads safe from scorching pavement and sand to prevent burns. Have you ever tried to walk on asphalt that can reach 90 degrees or more? Yikes! It is the same blazing feeling on our dog’s paw pads. Yes, their pads are thick and provide some protection, but it’s certainly not enough.
A few alternatives to consider; Walk them in the grass as much as possible, take walks in the early morning or late evening, and moisturize those paw pads to prevent cracking, peeling, and minor pad cuts.
Remember, if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them!
